A New Chapter: Ralph French Dental Practice moves from historic 180 Queen Street to Edward Street Dental
The Ralph French Dental Practice has been an integral part of Brisbane's dental community for over three decades, operating from the historic National Australia Bank building at 180 Queen Street. This iconic structure, built between 1929 and 1930, is a testament to Brisbane's architectural heritage.
Designed by A & K Henderson in the Classical Revival style, the seven-storey building features a striking sandstone facade with giant order pilasters and a granite plinth. Its impressive banking chamber, adorned with fine plaster detailing, and the marble-lined vestibule reflect the grandeur of early 20th-century financial institutions.
As we bid farewell to our long-time home, we reflect on the rich history that surrounded us. The building, originally constructed for the National Bank of Australasia, replaced an earlier bank from 1891. It has been a landmark in Brisbane's central business district, contributing significantly to the streetscape alongside other heritage buildings.
While we're saddened to leave this historic location due to upcoming demolition work, we're excited to announce our move to Edward Street Dental. Our new premises at Level 1, 97 Edward Street, Brisbane, will allow us to continue providing exceptional dental care in a fresh environment.
We're grateful for the memories created and the relationships built within the walls of 180 Queen Street. As we transition to our new location, we look forward to welcoming our valued patients and continuing our tradition of quality dentistry and personalized care.
Thank you for being part of our journey at this historic address. We're eager to see you soon at our new Edward Street location, where we'll write the next chapter of Ralph French Dental Practice together.
